Bollywood films you can’t miss in 2017!

With February coming to an end, Bollywood has given us films like Kaabil, Raees, Jolly LLB 2, The Ghazi attack which have lived up to our expectations. We can expect the same from some of the film slated to release later this year. Here are the nine films from which the audience surely has high expectations this year.

1. Naam Shabana

Naam Shabana is a prequel to the 2015 thriller BABY. After watching Tapsee’s performance in PINK and the 15 minute role in BABY we certainly cannot wait to see her play a full fledged role in this film. Akshay Kumar will be seen again in his ‘BABY’ avatar. The film releases on March 31.

2. Jagga Jasoos

Jagga Jasoos is an upcoming Indian musical, adventure and comedy film written and directed by Anurag Basu, and produced by Basu and Ranbir Kapoor. Here Ranbir will be seen as an animal enthusiast who is in search of his father. It will be a matter to see if Ranbir has a better chemistry with the animals or with Katrina Kaif. The film is slated to release on 7th April.

3. Baahubali: The Conclusion

Arguably the most awaited film of 2017. Finally we will come to know, “Why did Katappa kill Baahubali?” This film has a huge responsibility of living upto the expectations of the audience after the first installment Baahubali: The Beginning, which the people loved totally. This film is slated to release a week after Jagga Jasoos on April 14.

4. Toilet- Ek Prem Katha

Toilet – Ek Prem Katha is an upcoming Indian Hindi film directed by Shree Narayan Singh. The story of this film revolves around PM Narendra Modi’s Swachha Bharat Abhiyan. Akshay Kumar along with Bhumi Pednekar play the lead roles. Just like every film of Akshay Kumar in recent past we hope that this one will be entertaining as well! It is slated to release on June 2.

5. Tubelight

This film is a war drama written and directed by Kabir Khan and features Salman Khan in the lead role. Do we need say anything more about this duo? This film also has Shah Rukh Khan doing a cameo. The film is due release on June 23, the Eid weekend.

6. Rahnuma

This film brings back SRK and Anushka as a lead pair in a romantic drama which is to be directed by Imtiaz Ali. Salman Khan released the first look of this film through his twitter account. It is slated to release on August 11.

7. Padmavati

Padmavati is an upcoming Indian period drama film directed by none other than Sanjay Leela Bhansali, jointly produced by Bhansali and Viacom 18 motion pictures. The film features Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in leading roles. It is currently scheduled for release on 18 November 2017 if not any mishap takes place like the one which took place about a month ago.

8. Tiger Zinda Hai

Since Aamir Khan has no Christmas release in 2017, his friend Salman takes over the slot with this sequel to the Bollywood movie “Ek Tha Tiger”, directed by “Sultan” director Ali Abbas Zafar. Releasing December 24. It will be a treat to watch Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif back together.

9. 2.0

Last but surely not the least, the Diwali release of 2017, 2.0 is the most ambitious project made in India. With a budget of 350 crores this film is one of the most anticipated release of this year! As lead we will see Superstar Rajnikanth as the protagonist and Akshay Kumar as the antagonist. This film has already created a lot of buzz with the first look itself. Expected release date, 18 October 2017.
