Bharatiya Janta Party is going to bring a new change in education system for the first time by introducing ‘no bags and no books’ system for class 1 Students in Haryana. Almost 100 primary Schools of government has been choosen to test this new system with atleast 5 schools from 21 districts each.
Students will be allotted a small place or their own lockers to leave the bags and books there before going to home. Once in 15 days they can take their bags home, to show the progress in school studies. Haryana govt is trying to bring joyful education system without giving much stress to those small brains.
“Later, we will start this ‘no bags’ system in more schools based on the success and feedback from the 100 schools we have selected for this experiment,” Said PK Das, additional chief secretary (school education).
“We are introducing some changes in the functioning of the government schools. We want learning to be a joyful experience for the students in every class,” education minister Ram Bilas Sharma said.
They are bringing another change by introducing Quiz Clubs In Schools!
Quiz Clubs will be mandatory for all schools to set up from class 1 to class 12. Questions will be based on class books only and every student have to be a member of their Quiz Club.
Quiz master Siddhartha Basu has got the job to set up questions for the students and each class will have different sets of questions.
“Every Saturday is devoted to develop the personality of the students by engaging them in free-wheeling discussions and allowing them to do something creative. There are over 40 different activities for the students, based on their interest,” said PK Das, The mind behind this Idea.
He also added, “The ‘joyful Saturday’ programme, which was launched on November 14, 2016, has begun picking up the pace. Hence, the government has decided to launch more activities under this move. The focus is to develop a multi-dimensional personality of the students.”
