Being a Jio user myself, to accept that no more are we going to get the free connectivity is a huge pain. Millions of life-styles had been changed as Mukesh Ambani made Jio virtually our habit, (good or bad is up to you to decide); but it is true and we have to face this reality. It’s not possible for many of us to subscribe to the new data and talktime plans that Reliance is offering us with from April 1,2017. If you already are planning to have or have had your Jio Prime Subscription, nothing like it, and if like me you feel it’s not affordable then read on how to terminate your present connection before March 31, 2017.
STEP 1: You need to check whether you have a Pre-paid or a Post-paid connection. If you know it then well and good and if you don’t, here’s what you do.
- Go to MyJio App and select Open button right next to MyJio.
- If you had not signed in with Jio number previously, Sign in
- Go to the Menu and tap on My Plans.
There you get your required information.
STEP 2: Termination Process:
- If you have a Pre-paid connection:-
The termination procedure is automatic in this case. An unused sim card with zero-balance for more than 90 days straight away deactivates the sim.
- If you have a Post-paid connection:-
There are 2 options for you in this case: either you can call up the Customer Care, or visit your nearest Jio store, and ask for deactivation of your number further giving a suitable cause. Once your request is registered, within a span of 7 working days, your number would be disconnected.
You can apply this even if you’re a Pre-paid user just in case you immediately want to terminate your connection.
MAKE SURE YOU DO THIS WHOLE THING BEFORE 31st MARCH, 2017 SO THAT THERE ARE NO CREDITS TO YOUR ACCOUNT.
