Android Oreo started to roll out again for Xiaomi MiA1

Among all the Xiaomi devices, MiA1 was the first device to get the Android Oreo 8.0 update. But that happiness did not last long when users started to report various bugs regarding the 8.0 update. Consequence? Xiaomi had no choice but to stop rolling out the update.  But the wait is finally over again, the good news is MiA1 has started to receive the Oreo update again.

When the problems regarding the old update started to spread over the internet, Xiaomi immediately released an acknowledgement regarding the same. They further confirmed, those who has MyJio app installed on their phone are the one who facing all the bugs. However, it is quiet impressive that Xioami took the issue seriously and fixed it and released another update as early as possible.

The new update (1222MB in size) is enabling all the latest offerings of Android powered by Google. Interestingly the new update with build number OPR1.170623.026.8.1.10 includes latest January Android security patch. Moreover it fixes all the major bugs like DND volume problem, Bluetooth battery drainage, phone freeze, wrong rapid charging message, unresponsive of Google Dialler app and more. It also enables finger print sensor gestures as per the reports.

Although the update is of 1222MB but the users who got Oreo update earlier will not required the 1222 MB update. There will be an update of 89 MB exclusively for those users. To get the update, users can go to Settings -> About Phone -> System Updates.
